If you don’t know, I have Panic Disorder. I quite randomly, and frequently, have awful panic attacks. I was offered a device called the emWave 2 which is a biofeedback device.
I’ve been using it for a few months and in this post I’m going to cover my experiences.

5/8”-27tpi threads in wood really are a pain. Luckily I have the correct die for the job.
I’ve never made any sort of topwater fishing lure, so I figured I’d just turn and carve a simple popper.
The wood is Kauri for the inside strip and Padauk on the sides. Some sparkles applied then 5 coats of polyurethane.
Eyelets are inset with epoxy.
One of the best things in Cubase 8.5 so far has been the mixer. There’s a lot of people that complain about the mixer in 8/8.5, but for me it’s an amazing.
Let’s go over some of my favorite things in it.

Read more →About 2 months ago I made a couple tests Saya for my Kitaoka Usaba. I just realized that I never posted this on the blog. I’ll be posting the process of making them on the blog coming up, so here’s a preview in some pine.
What does the next month have in store? The first one should be obvious.
I’m also going to eat only 1200kcal per day for 30 days, starting tomorrow. More information coming soon. You’ll be able to see every single thing that I eat right here.
Some cool woodworking project posts coming up soon. I have lots of pictures and I just haven’t yet taken the time to write blog posts. They’re coming! Hell… here’s a teaser:
My 1 month (total) venture with Studio One 3 has come to a close. I didn’t write about some basics such as audio editing and midi editing, but I certainly did experience them.
Studio One 3 is not my preference. There’s a variety of reasons, but for me it comes down to 2 main things.
- Drag and Drop paradigm is way too heavily enforced.
- Lack of features geared towards refining things.
Let me explain why these are an issue for me, and relay my overall experience (the poison).
Read more →I see this damn thing all the time. It wouldn’t be a big deal except I’ve had Studio One crash while saving and corrupt the save file. Not exactly professional behaviour, but it is exceptionally frustrating. At least it fits in with a lot of my other S1 experiences thusfar.
They are fixing issues relatively frequently, but so far this has been the most unstable DAW that I’ve used. I also get the feeling like I’m squeezed for performance with Studio One, but I have no concrete data yet.
I’m currently in OS X 10.11.5, with no such issues in other DAWs.
